From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hildur is a detective book series written by Finnish-Icelandic author Satu Rämö. A play based on the books will premiere in Autumn 2024 at Turku City Theatre. The play has been dramatized by Satu Rasila and it is directed by Anne Rautiainen.[1] Hildur will also be made into a TV series.[2]  As of January 2024, the publishing rights to Hildur series have been sold to 13 countries, including Germany, France, the UK, the Nordics, and the Baltic countries.[3][4]

Hildur Rúnarsdóttir is an Icelandic police officer haunted by the past. Hildur (born in a fictional farm Kotsdalur, in Westfjords) lives and works at a village called Ísafjörður, where she looks into the mysteries of her family while solving murders. A close colleague of Hildur is a Finnish police officer Jakob (born in Helsinki), with family roots in Äkäslompolo. [5] [6]
