Hans Jörg Schimanek jun. is an Austrian right-wing extremist who was active as a leading neo-Nazi. He had close ties to Gottfried Küssel and the VAPO.

Hans Jörg Schimanek jun. was born October 1, 1963, in Klosterneuburg in Lower Austria. His father is the politician Hans Jörg Schimanek, sen. (SPÖ, FPÖ, BZÖ). Trained as a graphic artist and spent seven years as a temporary soldier in the Austrian Armed Forces.[1]

Schimanek was a comradeship leader in Krems-Land and an activist in the “Langenlois Comradeship”, a neo-Nazi and paramilitary group. He helped organize military training exercises and appeared as a “mercenary”. He was active in Suriname and French Guiana in 1989 and 1990. The French National Gendarmerie arrested Schimanek and the other foreigners in Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni, a town in French Guiana on the state border with Suriname, and deported Schimanek to Austria. In 1992 he was active as mercendary for fascists in Croatia.[2] In the same year, Schimanek was convicted of prohibited possession of weapons and receiving stolen property.

In 1995 he was legally sentenced to a prison sentence for Nazi re-activation activities. He git released early from prison in 1999, he has worked in the private sector ever since.

He went to East Germany and worked as a building contractor in the area around Leipzig. His sons Jörg and Jörn Schimanek founded the right wing terror group Saxon Separatists and got arrested in 2024.[3]
