Gwendy's Magic Feather is a 2019 thriller novella by American writer Richard Chizmar.[1][2] It is the sequel to Gwendy's Button Box (which was written by Chizmar and Stephen King and the second installment of the Gwendy Trilogy. The story, set in 1999, revolves around the title character, Gwendy Peterson, now a thirty-seven-year-old United States senator from Maine, who one day finds the, previously in her possession, Button Box. In her hometown, Castle Rock, Gwendy must also try to find two missing teenage girls that have mysteriously disappeared.[3][non-primary source needed]
Plot
[edit]Set in 1999, the novella sees Gwendy, after she is in possession of the Button Box again, travel to Stephen King's fictional town Castle Rock, in which she tries to help find two missing girls.
Sequel
[edit]A sequel and the final installment in the Gwendy's Button Box Trilogy, Gwendy's Final Task, was released in 2022, written by Chizmar and King.[4][non-primary source needed]
