Guy Norris
Guy Norris is an Australian-American stuntman, film director, second unit director, and actor.
Life and Career
[edit]In 1980, at the age of 20, he started work on his first film gig: George Miller's Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior.[1]
He worked with Miller again on Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) as stunt co-ordinator and second unit director. They would later team up once again for the 2024 prequel spin-off film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.[2][3]
In 2019, Norris served as stunt supervisor and second unit director on James Gunn's The Suicide Squad (2021). He was in charge of directing the car scenes despite Gunn explaining that he rarely uses second unit directors on his films and has never liked working with them, but he enjoyed the experience of working with Norris.[4][5]
Other films Norris has served as second unit director on include Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Stealth, Scooby-Doo, Ghost in the Shell, and Suicide Squad.[6]
