Goli Soda Rising is a 2024 Indian Tamil-language action drama television series creator and directed by Vijay Milton for Disney+ Hotstar for its label Hotstar Specials. The series is a sequel and prequel to the Vijay Milton film's Goli Soda (2014) and Goli Soda 2 (2018). The show revolves around In the bustling Koyambedu market, four boys rise from obscurity to carve out their own identity. However, they realise that the pursuit of identity is endless.
The principal characters of the series include Kishore, Murugesh, Sree Raam, Pandi, Udayaraj, Cheran, Shaam, Pugazh, Abhirami Gopikumar and Remya Nambeesan. It premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on 13 September 2024.[1][2]
Synopsis
[edit]Four young boys (Kishore, Murugesh, Sree Raam, Pandi) running their mess in Koyambedu market. This time, they invite trouble from three parties, played by Cheran, Shaam and Pugazh. How they stay united as always and hold on to their identity, seems to form the rest of the story.

Production

[edit]The series was announced by Disney+ Hotstar in early 2024, following the popularity of other Tamil web series such as Mathagam, Label, Heart Beat, Uppu Puli Kaaram, Chutney Sambar and My Perfectt Husband. It is the first Tamil series to Sequel from films.[3]
The series creator and directed by Vijay Milton, and produced by Ramesh Krishnamoorthy and Music by Simon K. King.Vijay Milton saying, "Goli Soda Rising will serve as the sequel to Goli Soda 1 and a prequel to the second part".[4]
Casting
[edit]Actors Kishore, Sree Raam, Pandi and Murugesh was cast as Pulli, Settu, Sithappa and Kuttimani. They was reprising her role of 2014's film Goli Soda. Also includes Seetha, Sujatha Sivakumar, Imman Annachi and Madhusudhan Rao.
Actors Cheran, Shaam and Pugazh was cast main Negative role.[5] Actor Shaam, making his first role in a limited series. Actress Abhirami Gopikumar, Remya Nambeesan and Ammu Abhirami was cast as main role.
Release
[edit]The first teaser for Goli Soda Rising, the web series directed by Vijay Milton based on the events of his 2014 film Goli Soda (2014) and the 2018 film Goli Soda 2 (2018), was unveiled on released on 24 August 2024.[6][7]
The first trailer was released on Tuesday 24 August 2024 featuring and revel of release date. The series was scheduled for a worldwide release on 13 September on Disney+ Hotstar[8] along with dubbed versions in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi and Bengali languages.[9][10]
