Glenn Roggeman is a Belgian entrepreneur and producer, best known as the CEO of AED Studios, one of the largest film and TV studio complexes in Europe.[citation needed] Roggeman is recognized[by whom?] for his contributions to the development of the Belgian audiovisual sector and his investments in sustainable technologies for the film industry.[1]
Biography
[edit]Glenn Roggeman began his career as an entrepreneur in the audiovisual sector. In the early 2000s, he played a crucial[peacock prose] role in the founding and expansion of AED Group, a leading European supplier of audiovisual equipment and services. Through his entrepreneurship, Roggeman has increased access to advanced audiovisual technology in Europe.[2]
In 2013, Roggeman acquired the former Alfacam complex, which was transformed into AED Studios, a modern production hub for films, TV shows, commercials, and events. Under his leadership, AED Studios grew into an internationally recognized location for film and television productions.[3]
AED Studios
[edit]AED Studios is located in Lint, Belgium, and features multiple recording studios, including one of the largest water stages in Europe.[citation needed] The studios have attracted major international productions, including feature films, television series, and commercials.[citation needed] Thanks to Roggeman's vision and investments in innovative production technologies, such as virtual production and sustainable energy sources, AED Studios has become a leader in the industry.[4]

Recognition and influence
[edit]On August 20, 2024, Glenn Roggeman received a lifetime achievement award from the Septimius Awards, and in November 2024, he was named an ambassador for the Septimius Awards.[8]
