Gjorge Gjorgiev (born 18 June 1996) is a Macedonian footballer who plays as a midfielder.
Club career
[edit]Gjorgiev was a player for Ljubanci 1974, a club that competed in the Second Macedonian League 2015/16.
In the 2016/17 season, he moved to the third-tier Borec 1919, and in the same season, they were promoted to the Second League as the team finished in second place in the league - South. In the 2017/18 season, Borec 1919 and Gjorgiev finished in second place in the league - East and secured a place in the promotion playoffs. In the first round of the playoffs, they defeated Gostivar on penalties, but lost to Pobeda in the second round, thus remaining in the Second League.[2] In the next season, Borec 1919 and Gjorgiev won the Second League - East and secured direct promotion to the First League. In the 2019/20 season, Gjorgiev and Borec survived in the First League due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the suspension of the league, with no team being relegated due to the decision of the FFM.[3][4] In the 2020/21 season, Gjorgiev and Borec 1919 finished in eighth place. In the following season, Borec finished second to last in 11th place and was relegated to the Second League.
While he was a player for Borec 1919, Gjorgiev was the team's captain.[5]
In mid-June 2022, Gjorgiev moved from Borec to Štip Bregalnica 2008.[6][7][8]
