George Holmes is an American senior poker player the runner-up at the 2021 World Championship of No Limit Texas Hold'em (Main Event).[1][2] He also has a 213th-place finish in the 2019 Main Event ($50,855).[2][3]

By trade – Holmes is an executive for a company that is processing payments – a fact he insists was making it easier to return to reality after his success at the felt.[3]

As he himself puts it:

To know me, I’m pretty a pretty monotone, mellow person so I don't get very high. I think coming back to Earth, for me, was a lot easier.[3]
