Friday Anime Night (Japanese: フライデーアニメナイト, stylized FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT, Furaani for short) is a Japanese late-night anime programming block produced by Nippon Television and broadcast on NTV and NNS affiliate stations on Friday nights from 23:00 to 23:30 JST.

History

Nippon Television established a new 30-minute programming block dedicated to anime in October 2023 named Friday Anime Night.[1][2] The block is broadcast nationwide on NTV and 30 stations affiliated with NNS.[1] It airs from 11 PM JST on Friday nights after NTV's long-running Friday Road Show movie block.[2]

The block's first work was Frieren: Beyond Journey's End.[1][3] The series premiered with a 4-episode two-hour special on September 29, 2023, on Nippon TV's Friday Road Show, while subsequent episodes aired in the newly established timeslot starting October 6, 2023.[1][3]
