English: Since the medical community currently (2020-03-20) has a urgent need for protective visors and other PPE for our heroes that spends their days battling COVID-19, myself and my co-workers at 3DVerkstan have spent a lot of time during the past few days designing a printable visor. This in a WORK IN PROGRESS, and might get multiple revisions during the coming days/weeks, but this first released version is the first one on its way to be tried out by a local hospital. The design goals included:

• Using readily available plastic sheets with as little modification as possible, and only common tools used.
• All features printable with nozzle sizes up to 1mm and layer heights up to 0.5mm
• Drip protection above the eyes
• Printable in less than 20 minutes
• No tight tolerances requiring well-tuned printers.
• Design that works equally well with most common materials (PLA, CPE, PETG, ABS etc.)

The plastic shield can be made out of any semi-stiff plastic sheet between 0.1 and 1mm, including overhead film, cover sheets for binding machines etc, as long as it is available in A4 format (or letter format for the dedicated version). The holes for mounting the plastic sheets are made with a Swedish-style hole punch, set to A6 format and punched two times on one of the long sides of each sheet to make a total of 8 holes. I also got requests for a dedicated version to be used with Letter sized plastic sheets and the north american 3-hole system punches. This version is currently NOT TESTED, and might need some adjustment. If you try it out, please reach out to me on Twitter @erikcederb so i can update these files accordingly. If you need it to sit tighter on your head or if you are leaning over patients a lot and worry about it falling off, a simple rubber band can be put over the two hooks in the back.
