Summary

Description
English: The photograph contains 28 members of the Red Hill Band in front of a brick building. They are arranged in three rows with the front row sitting on wooden chairs. Each member of the band is wearing a military-style uniform and a hat with the words "RED HILL" written on them. There is a large drum displayed in front of them inscribed with the words "Red Hill Band Red Hill. PA." The director of the band is standing in the center row, fifth from the left. In the bottom left of the image is the photographer's name and the location of where the picture was taken.

The photograph was included in a collection of documents and photos from Leroy Schultz which was purchased at an auction by the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center in 2003. The Town And Country newspaper published an article containing the photograph in 1905 titled "Noted Musical Organization of the Upper End Makes Wonderful Strides for Perfection".

On page 68 of Glimpses of the Past: Picture Postcards of the Goshenhoppen Region and Beyond by Aaron M. Heckler there is a photograph of the Lucian B. Miller cigar factory on main street which clearly matches the brick building in the background of this picture.
