Summary
| Description |
English: Oriflamme, a 1200-ton wooden-hulled sidewheel steamship built in Brooklyn, New York, in 1863–1864 for use as a gunboat in the Union Navy during the American Civil War. Because the war was over before the ship was completed, she never received a naval commission and instead was sold for merchant service, operating first along the coast of China and later the West Coast of the United States. She was scrapped in about 1879. |
