English: The letter of the bishop of Chernigov to Sviatoslav Vsevolod(ov)ich, quoted in the Hypatian Codex copy of the Kyivan / Kievan Chronicle sub anno 4472 [1164] concerning the kniaginia (princess Catherine) of Chernigov and Oleg II Sviatoslavich: "[стръıи ти оумерлъ а по Ѡлга ти послали. а дру]жина ти по городомъ далече а кнѧгини сѣдить въ изумѣньи дѣтьми а товара множество оу неӕ . а поѣди вборзѣ . Ѡлегъ ти ѣще не въѣхалъ . а по своеи воли възмеши радъ с нимъ ." Ст҃ославъ же про[чте..]. ("[Your uncle has died and they have sent for Oleg; your re]tinue is in cities far away, and the kniaginia [princess] rules [sedit’] in cahoots with the children, and she has many possessions.
