English: An audio recording of Booker T. Washington reading an excerpt from his famous "Atlanta Compromise" speech originally given at the Atlanta Cotton States and International Exposition on September 18, 1895.
The recording was made on December 5, 1908, for private purposes and was made available commercially by Washington’s son in 1920.
