English: Coat of arms on monument in Kilhampton Church, Cornwall, of Lt-Col. Algernon Carteret Thynne (1868-1917), Royal North Devon Hussars, DSO, of Penstowe in the parish of Kilkhampton, Cornwall, killed in action in Palestine during World War I, whose granite obelisk monument survives in the village centre of Kilkhampton. Quarterly of four, 1: Botteville quartering Thynne, as borne by his grandfather Thomas Thynne, 2nd Marquess of Bath (1765-1837); 2: Carteret; 3: Grenville of Kilkhampton.
