DescriptionAboard the Black Cat - geograph.org.uk - 1050315.jpg
English: Aboard the Black Cat The last few passengers board the 1630 Black Cat journey to Ilkeston via West Hallam on Derwent Street - the current terminus of this service following the closure of the bus station. Most are returning from a Saturday afternoon shopping excursion to Derby city centre.
The 'Black Cat' is one of Trentbarton's branded bus routes where names have replaced conventional route numbers. The full service runs between Derby and Mansfield, but is operated jointly with Felix of Stanley as far as Ilkeston; this is in fact a Felix bus. The Felix name was presumably the inspiration for the Black Cat brand.
