English: A preliminary scan of the Liberator Volume 12, Issue 3 (1913-04-18) made by the Los Angeles Public Library from the Edmonds Family Collection (https://www.jledmondsproject.com) for the 2018 Los Angeles City Hall Exhibit, "Write in America," presented in part by the office of Los Angeles City Council President, Herb Wesson.
This issue is significant because it illustrates the Liberator's opposition to a 1912 discriminatory ruling by Los Angeles City Attorney, John Shenk, and to Shenk's candidacy in the 1913 Los Angeles Mayoral race.
