Fernando Soares Gomes da Silva (born 21 February 1952) is a Portuguese sports administrator. He is a member of the FIFA Council since September 2017. He was President of the Portuguese Football Federation from December 2011 to February 2025, and a Vice-President of UEFA from 2017 to 2023.[2][3][4]

He is a former basketball player and League President and had a long career with the FC Porto, where he was a member of the management board from 2000 to 2010.[5]

Gomes holds a degree in economics from the University of Porto.[5]
