Evelina Atalyants (born 1 July 2007) is an Uzbekistani rhythmic gymnast.[1] She is a multiple Asian Championships medalist.
Career
[edit]In 2022, Atalyants took part in the Asian Championships as a junior, winning silver in the team competition with the other gymnasts from Uzbekistan and gold with clubs individually.[2]
She made her senior debut at the World Cup in Athens, ending 15th in the all-around, 10th with hoop, 21st with ball, 12th with clubs, 26th with ribbon. At the Asian Championships she won gold in teams and silver with ball.[3][4] At her first World Championships, she placed 23rd in the all-around.[5]
The next year, she became a member of the group. She won a silver medal at the World Cup in Tashkent in the 3 ribbons and 2 balls final as a group member.[6] The next week, she participated in the 2024 Asian Championships, where the Uzbekistani group won gold in the all-around. Their placement earned them a berth at the 2024 Summer Olympics.[7]
