Eshqabad (Persian: عشق اباد)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Chaybasar-e Sharqi Rural District of the Central District of Poldasht County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Yowla Galdi,[5] now a city in the Central District of Showt County.[6]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 278 in 65 households, when it was in the former Poldasht District of Maku County.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 348 people in 77 households,[8] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Poldasht County. The rural district was transferred to the new Central District.[9] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 316 people in 82 households.[2]
