Elena Aleksandrovna Naryshkina, Serene Princess of Italy, Countess Suvorov-Rymniksky (1785 – December 15 (3), 1855), was a Russian noblewoman, maid of honor and member of an ancient Naryshkin family.[1][2][3]
Family
[edit]She was a daughter of chancellor A L Naryshkin, granddaughter of admiral Alexei Senyavin, sister of Lev Alexandrovitch Narychkine and K A Narychkine, daughter-in-law of Alexander Suvorov (via her first marriage, to his son Arkadi Suvorov) and cousin of Count Mikhail Semyonovich Vorontsov.[4]
On July 13, 1800, she married Arkadi Suvorov-Rymniksky.[5]
The famous portrait of her, painted by Vladimir Borovikovsky, was completed in 1799 when she was 14 years old.[3]
