Dude Teate (born January 14, 1972) is an American professional racing driver who competes in the Southern Sprint Car Shootout Series. He previously competed part-time in what is now the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2003 and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2002. He continues to race locally in his home state of Florida.
Racing career
[edit]Teate attempted two Truck Series races in 2002 at Indianapolis Raceway Park and South Boston Speedway in the No. 31 truck for Brevak Racing, but failed to qualify for both.
In 2003, Teate made his Busch Series debut after qualifying for the race at IRP. He finished the race 22nd and 4 laps down driving the No. 0 car for Davis Motorsports.
Teate continues to race locally in his home state of Florida. In 2013, he competed in the Must See Racing Series and returned a decade later in 2023 and again in 2024. He has competed in select races in the Southern Sprint Car Shootout Series each year since 2016.[1][2]
