Separate article?

[edit]

What is the purpose of this proposed article? Other than (to my read and in its current state) to act as a form of advertising?

Why would we need a separate article on the hotel business when we already have an article on the hotel building? At Ennistymon House.

Is the hotel business so obviously and independently notable that it needs its own article? Personally I don't see that it is. And would have a very hard time understanding why this hotel business should buck standards/norms/conventions, and be covered in a separate article.

(The Adare Manor Hotel (late 20th century hotel business) is covered in the Adare Manor article (on the 19th century house). The Dromoland Castle Hotel ( 20th century hotel business) is covered in the Dromoland Castle article (on 19th century house). The Clontarf Castle Hotel (the 20th century business) is covered in the Clontarf Castle article (on 19th century building). Same goes for Barberstown Castle, Carton House, etc, etc. Apart from the slight difference here, that the hotel and house have different names, why should this hotel business be covered in a separate article?)

Is it me? Have I overlooked something obvious? That establishes independent/separate notability? Guliolopez (talk) 20:42, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
