Help to finalize page for submission approval

[edit]

This is my first attempt at submitting a wiki page. Any tips on improving this article, so that it will pass submission approval, and become a full article, and not just a draft on my page? Davidwtaylor1 (talk) 15:03, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Davidwtaylor1, for a draft to become an article, it is up to you to show the subject is notable in the way we use that term on Wikipedia. It must pass one of the notability guidelines; either the general notability guideline or one of the special notability guidelines. I believe the guideline for biographies is at WP:BIO. Biographies are an especially difficult area for your first article as you have to be much more careful writing about a person than you would have to be writing about a lake or a chemical. At least you're not writing about a living person; the community is especially strict about those (see WP:BLP) . You should definitely read My first article and WP:42. There's a Q&A forum especially for new users called The Teahouse that I found especially helpful when I was starting out. Good luck. 4.37.252.50 (talk) 15:45, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
