[edit]Related to Samuel W. Oliver?
- This source Garrett, William (1872). "Reminiscences of Public Men in Alabama: For Thirty Years, with an Appendix". pp. 38, 78, 104, 111, 1 64, 243, 714. says he died 1848??? That comports with timing for earlier one's wnd of service and gap. Seems there were two.. This one a Whig
Reading thought every mention of "Oliver" in this source and this source I believe the W is just yet another typo. However the book does say W. Oliver was speaker in 1826-1827 when the second source says no Oliver was in the house. So... confused. KylieTastic (talk) 17:34, 8 August 2022 (UTC)Another source using W but no C - so looks like a typo or he had two middle names and swapped about.KylieTastic (talk) 17:39, 8 August 2022 (UTC)- Found a contemporary source for 1831 this Samuel W. Oliver from Conecuh & Covington (also says new member) and Samuel C. Oliver from Montgomery. So since some refer to just Mr Oliver or Dr Oliver this is going to be an issue to untangle.
