Comment: Just got a new article on singer-songwriter Monica Rizzio in Draft, and as I'm still a bit of a newbie, thought I'd reach out to y'all to get any kindly advice and guidance from some of the experts! Tmcnellis15 (talk) 02:09, 11 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: Responding to a fair question from Tesleemah (which was posted on this article’s Draft page) stating: “Editor seems connected with the subject seeing they uploaded their on wikicommon at the time of creating this article. No COI is declared yet”. I had met the photographer earlier this year at a festival venue, who I saw taking photos of subject, and asked if he was willing to submit to Wikimedia as I had not found any prior photos there of subject. He agreed, but even after I sent him references on how to upload, he instead asked me to do so, with his permission, and emailed me the photo. As for COI, I do not receive any compensation for Wiki articles that I write, including this one, and although I have met subject at concert events, and like many others have donated small amounts to her Vinegrass non-profit, I am not associated in any way with her family, her music business or her non-profit. Hope this helps clarify! Tmcnellis15 (talk) 00:05, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
