Circular translating

[edit]

@Alalch E. and Timtrent: it may be that the ig.wiki article is itself a translation of Karin Van Der Laag. This (the en.wiki article) was created in Nov 2020, and deleted in May 2024. The ig.wiki one was created in Jun 2022, by a user who describes himself on his user page User:Timzy D'Great as "a translator from English to Igbo". ( Courtesy ping: Timzy D'Great so I don't appear to surreptitiously talk about him behind his back!) I don't know if this matters, but just thought I'd mention. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:45, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@DoubleGrazing Ouch! 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 16:46, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
PS: Oh yeah, when the ig.wiki article was created, the en.wiki one was acknowledged as the original. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:47, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@DoubleGrazing Shoudl the attribution (above) be left? These comments do alter it somewhat 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 16:50, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was aware of that possibility. Still, the statements with a citation are more or less there. I'm uncomfortable with so much deriving from one source however. —Alalch E. 16:50, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know if it means anything, I was just putting it on record. I suppose whoever is reading this page and sees the attribution, will also see this convo FWIW. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:55, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
