Contested deletion

[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... Slayton is a public figure, and we have reason to believe that his articles keep getting deleted because some people are biased and wish to censor people they disagree with. --CrowMob (talk) 21:08, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@CrowMob, no one is trying to censor someone they disagree with by deleting this article. Does this look like WP:NPOV to you? It certainly doesn't to me, or to the editor who put the deletion tag on it. I've declined the deletion, since this is a draft and you're still working on it, but please don't speculate on other editors' motives in this way. You may find WP:WTW helpful. Good luck with your edits. -- asilvering (talk) 01:12, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wow easily offended you are. I was just following orders. CrowMob (talk) 13:17, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Asilvering I've indeffed this user partly because of failing to disclose an obvious COI as prescribed despite being warned to do so, and partly because of some disruptive editing of which this and its vile edit summary is the worst Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:42, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sheesh. Guess they couldn't take my advice about speculating on other editors' motives. Regarding the draft, I think it's best to G11 only the most obviously bad faith cases, since having drafts deleted is an extremely discouraging experience and draftspace is explicitly a place for you to work on articles that don't yet meet guidelines for whatever reason. But since this is obviously not a good-faith editor, have at it. -- asilvering (talk) 15:33, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Asilvering, FWIW, if I'd seen the draft first, I would have deleted as blatant spam, draft or not, but since you declined G11, I'll let it go for now Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:50, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
