Zain Group, a telecommunication company that operates in eight markets across the Middle East and Africa. Omantel is the primary telecommunications provider in Oman.

History
[edit]ZOI was established on May 2023 through a partnership between Zain Group and Omantel. As of 2024, the two major stakeholders are Zain Group with 74% and Omantel with 26%[1]ownership of the joint venture.
Operations
[edit]ZOI provides various telecommunications services including internet connectivity, voice services, roaming, and messaging. The joint venture reaches to over 55 million customers as of 2024, in eight different countries.[2] ZOI is integrated into more than 20 international submarine cable systems and is involved in several major projects such as Blue-Raman, Africa-1, and the Jeddah to Marseille (J2M) subsea systems.[3]
