Yousif Yahya is a Sudanese entrepreneur and innovation ecosystem builder. He is the founder of Savannah Innovation Labs, which supports entrepreneurship in Sudan despite ongoing challenges.
Career
[edit]Yousif founded Savannah Innovation Labs[1], providing advisory, incubation, and acceleration support to African startups. He is also a founding member of the only Sudanese startup backed by Y Combinator[2] and serves as a Venture Partner at African Renaissance Partners.
Previously, he worked at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning in Sudan, managing a USAID-funded cash transfer pilot project aimed at mitigating the economic impact of subsidy removal.
He is a founding member of the Sudanese Innovation and Entrepreneurship Network and a member of th World Economic Forum Khartoum Hub.
Education
[edit]Yousif holds a Venture Capital Certification from UC Berkeley and has completed financial modeling and valuation training from the Investment Banking Institute. His educational background is in international relations and finance.
