William Green (1962–) is a New Zealand composer, pianist and writer.[1][2] He lives in Auckland and composes opera, musical theatre, silent film, dance and choral music.[3]

Early life

William Green was born in Christchurch and studied piano with Jean MacLachlan and Maurice Till.

Career

After graduating BMus/MA at the University of Canterbury he worked as a pianist, teacher, arranger, composer and in radio.[4]

He has written for publications such as the Auckland Philharmonia News.[5]

He writes comic poems for magazines such as Lighten Up Online.[6]
