William Robert David Parfitt (born June 23, 1990), is an English male stripper and entrepreneur. Parfitt first became recognized due to his resemblance with Hollywood actor Channing Tatum, starring in the Magic Mike movie trilogy and named ‘Sexiest Man Alive" by People magazine.[1] During the COVID-19 lockdown, Parfitt began doing strip shows on Social Media as part of the male strip group Magic Men Australia.[2] Parfitt has since gained the nickname in mainstream media as the ‘real life Magic Mike’.[3]
Life and Career
[edit]Will Parfitt grew up in South London with his parents. In 2015 he moved to Melbourne permanently after a backpacking trip through Australia.[4] A local club promoter noticed the resemnlance with Magic Mike, the fictionary lead charector in the movie trilogy by the same name portrayed by actor Channing Tatum.[5] Parfitt started performing in small clubs around Melbourne. in 2018 he became a member of the male strip group Magic Men Australia.[2][6] In 2020 he was included as part owner of the company behind Magic Men Australia.[2][7]
Fame on Social Media
[edit]During the COVID-19 lockdown in Australia in 2020, Parfitt began to post videos of him self performing in different outfits, such as Police Officer and Fireman. The reels achieved increasingly popularity.[2]
