Whom Gods Destroy are an American progressive metal group founded by Derek Sherinian and Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal in 2020. They announced the group to the world on 12 December 2023.[1] Their current lineup consists of Derek Sherinian on keyboards, Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal on guitar, Yas Nomura on bass, Bruno Valverde on drums, and Dino Jelusick on vocal duties.
Their debut album, "Insanium", is expected to release March 2024. Recording concluded for the album June 2023.[2] On 12 December 2023, in a Instagram post, the band announced they had signed to the InsideOut Music label.[3]

Whom Gods Destroy was initially formed in 2020 by Derek Sherinian and Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal. They both had previously worked together in the supergroup Sons of Apollo, and were writing new music. In an interview with Blabbermouth.net, Bumblefoot explains how the rest of the members joined:

""Derek [Sherinian] and I had began writing new music in 2020. Soon after, Dino (Jelusick) joined, followed by Yas (Nomura) and Bruno (Valverde). We'd share ideas, and would each record parts, building and rebuilding songs, and by June 2023, the album was finished. The songs all went through a lot of changes, developing...You can definitely hear what each person brings to the music – when it adds up, it's a mix of melody and intense heavy prog." [2]
Their upcoming debut album, Insanium, is expected to release March 2024 via the InsideOut Music label. The first single and promotional footage are expected to release January 2024. [2][3]
