Early Career

[edit]

Jumayev began his football journey at the age of six in his hometown, Ashgabat. He played for the youth teams of Arvana and Burgut in Turkmenistan. At 17, he signed his first professional contract with Kopetdag, a top-tier club in Turkmenistan. In 2018, Jumayev moved to Belarus to attend the Gomel State Technical University, where he continued his training under coach Dmitry Aleksandrovich Pleshkunov.

Move to Belarus

[edit]

In July 2020, Jumayev joined the Belarusian club Dnepr Rogachev and played in the Belarusian Second League. His performances soon attracted attention, and in April 2021, he signed with Lokomotiv Gomel in the First League. He made his debut on April 18, 2021, against Krumkachy Minsk, and shortly after, contributed his first assist. Throughout the 2021 season, Jumayev emerged as a key player, helping Lokomotiv secure a respectable sixth place.

Lokomotiv Gomel

[edit]

Jumayev continued with Lokomotiv into the 2022 season, even amid offers from other clubs. On September 17, 2022, he scored his first goal of the season against Volna Pinsk. He completed the season as a standout performer, contributing a goal and an assist.

[edit]

In March 2023, Jumayev signed with Energetik-BGU and made his debut on March 19, 2023, against Slutsk in the Belarusian Premier League. He quickly became an integral part of the team.

Vitebsk

[edit]

In January 2024, it was reported that the player was close to joining Mozyr's Slavia team.[5] Shortly after, he officially became a player for the Mozyr club.[6] In February 2024, reports indicated that he would leave the Mozyr club to join Vitebsk, as head coach Ivan Bionchik was dissatisfied with the signing due to an existing injury in the defender.[7] A few days later, Zhumaev officially became a player for Vitebsk.[8] He debuted for the club on March 9, 2024, in the second leg of the Belarusian Cup quarter-final match against Isloch, coming on as a substitute in the 66th minute.[9][10] He played his first match in the Premier League on March 30, 2024, against Mozyr's Slavia, starting in the lineup.[11] His first assist for the club came on April 12, 2024, in a match against Slutsk.[12]
