Warren Quincy Marr II (July 13, 1916–2010)[1] was a promoter and editor who co-founded the Amistad Research Center with Clifton A. Johnson and helped lead efforts to construct a replica of the La Amistad ship.[2] He married pioneering public official Carmel Carrington Marr in 1948. They had two sons.[1]
He was born in Pittsburgh. He studied journalism and printing at Wilberforce University.[1]
He produced and was principal interviewer for the NAACP radio series "The Black Man and Civil Rights"[1]
