Walter Shumpert (January 20, 1933 - ?) was a local official and state legislator in Illinois. He was born in Marion, Arkansas. He was elected to the Illinois House of Representatives in 1976 and resigned in 1979 to serve as an alderman in Chicago.[1] He died of a heart attack.[2]
