Walter I of Brienne (1020-1089) was the son of Engelbert IV of Brienne [fr] and Petronille. He was born in France in 1020.

Marriage and children

He married Eustachie de Tonnerre [fr] daughter of Milon III, count of Tonnerre and Azeka, countess of Bar-sur-Seine^[1]

His children included:

Erard I, Count of Brienne
Milon II de Bar-sur-Seine [fr]
Perrenelle of Brienne who married Thibaut, count of Reynel
Mantia de Brienne, who married Fulk IV, Count of Anjou
