[edit]

In February 2023, WIAC announced that they would begin sponsoring a championship for women's lacrosse beginning with the 2024 season,[1] also announcing the addition of Colorado College and Southwestern as affiliate members. The schools joined WIAC core members UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, UW-River Falls, UW-Stevens Point and UW-Stout.

Following the conclusion of the 2024 season, the league announced the addition of Augsburg, College of St. Benedict and Hamline as additional affiliate members, bringing the number of members to 10. The WIAC will earn an automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Tournament beginning with the 2026 season.[2]
