Abdul Aziz Musigazi known by his stage name Vyroota is a Ugandan Afrobeats/R&B singer who has had chart-topping hits within a short time after he was signed and Ugandans have embraced his music for such a young artist.[1][2][3]The Rising star Vyroota has had a quick breakthrough into the mainstream industry since his introduction in 2020 and being active on social media known as Tik Tok. He was among the top 10 Ugandan artists made by Tik Tok.[4]

Early Life

[edit]

Vyroota was born in Kireka, the Ugandan area of Wakiso District. This is where he grew up and went to school from kindergarten through high school.

Relationships

[edit]

Coming to relationships, Vyroota keeps his dating life away from the public because people will always judge and talk about his business which he doesn't tolerate with. In January, 2024, Vyroota was rumored to be dating a Ugandan artist known as Jowy Landa but later on reveals that she can't date Vyroota because of personal reasons.[5]

Career

[edit]

Listening to his lyrics, vocal strength, unique approach, and style of music, one would find it unbelievable that all that talent and creativity is of a 19-year-old. He asserts that he was born in May 2004 and raised from the slums of Kireka by a single mother. Vyroota started singing in 2012, but he didn't start putting out records until September 2021, when he put out his first album, My Love. It didn't get much attention, but it showed that he was a new artist. Then, in 2021, he put out Ammala, which became his first big tik tok hit. In 2023, Vyroota was among the list of fast rising young artists making the second place in the list.[6]

Education

[edit]

Speaking to Kalela of Sanyuka TV on SanyukaTunyuke show, Vyroota confirmed that he sat his Uganda Certificate Education (UCE) during the COVID-19 era, and that, that's how his educational journey halted as he didn't go back to complete the advanced level. After the completion of his senior four, he started singing professionally and went on to make his breakthrough song titled Ammala which was produced by Aban Beats. He has since then been moving steadily and is seemingly one of the best fast-rising stars we had in the just concluded year with the banger Risk and a massive collaboration Ex Twafuna with Ava Peace.[7] Vyroota went to school in Wakiso, where he finished primary school and then went on to study at the ordinary level. His Uganda Certificate of Education was given to him here. After he got his Ordinary level, he quit to go to school in order to pursue his music career.[8]

When it comes to Vyroota's discography, he is one of the few uganda rising artists who have pushed their own music independently meaning he doesn't have features on his songs as his hit songs are mostly solo. Vyroota currently has 0 albums/Eps and 19 singles. However Vyroota back in January, 2024 Vyroota stated the only female artist he wanted to collaborate with was Chosen Becky.[9].Vyroota also went on media to say that he had originally written Mistake, one of his popular songs, for Nina Roz but she didn't show effort making him to go to studio and make the song his and which was very popular in the country after the realease.[10]
