Vumile Msweli

Vumile Msweli (born 14 May 1986) is a South African entrepreneur, executive coach, columnist, author of the Career Accelerator Journal, and philanthropist. She is the founder of the Hesed Africa Foundation. Msweli has built a career in human capital, telecommunications, and financial services. She is the founder and CEO of Hesed Consulting, a Pan-African human capital consultancy, and the Hesed Africa Foundation, which focuses on career development, education, and women's empowerment. Msweli is a frequent speaker at major platforms, including TEDx and the African Union, and has been featured in various media outlets across Africa.[1]

Early Life and Education

Msweli holds several academic qualifications. She earned a Doctorate in Education Management and Leadership from the European International University (2024),[2] an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration from Myles Leadership University (2024),[3] and an MBA from the University of London (2013).[4] Her education also includes executive programs at the Gordon Institute of Business Science and Harvard University, alongside certifications in life coaching and neuro-linguistic programming.[5]

Msweli's career spans various leadership roles, primarily focusing on human capital strategy, operational management, and customer service execution. She has held positions at First National Bank, Vodafone, Barclays, and Investec.[6] She founded Hesed Consulting in 2012, which provides human capital solutions across Africa and beyond, and the Hesed Africa Foundation in 2017 to promote leadership training and women’s empowerment.[7]
