- Comment: At the start of the draft: Voices from Ukraine is a Polish–Ukrainian charitable organisation...Near the end: The Charitable foundation "Voices from Ukraine" is a successful collaboration between Polish and Ukrainian societies. Is "the charitable organisation" the same as "the Charitable foundation"? Hoary (talk) 08:53, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Notability will be shown by basing a very different draft on reliable sources that are independent of Voices from Ukraine. (These sources need not be in English. They may be in Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, German, Romanian, etc.)What the organization aspires to do is of little concern here. What it has done is important. Voices from Ukraine is a Polish–Ukrainian charitable organisation established to assist forced migrants and individuals fleeing from the war in Ukraine. Founded on the principles of humanity, mutual aid, and cultural cooperation, the foundation plays a key role in supporting and meeting the vital needs of those who have found themselves in difficult situations due to the war.
Founding history
[edit]Voices from Ukraine was established in April 2022, initiated by a group of activists and civic leaders from Poland and Ukraine...[1] The founders are civic activists and volunteers Denys Verteletskyi and Anna Dovha, with the vice president being Zhanna Boyko.
The organizers of the foundation felt the need to establish a structure to support individuals affected by the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine. The fraternal people of Poland played a significant role in assisting them with this, for which they are deeply grateful.
Initially, the foundation set out to assist displaced persons by ensuring their families had access to housing, food, medical, and psychological support. However, over time, the foundation's mission has expanded. It has begun engaging in cultural projects to strengthen mutual understanding between the Ukrainian and Polish peoples.
The foundation achieves its goals through various activities, such as cultural festivals, exhibitions, workshops, concerts, and lectures. These initiatives help the exchange of cultural experiences and foster friendship between Poland and Ukraine. Additionally, the foundation engages citizens in participating in charitable actions aimed at fundraising to support those in need.
Projects and activities
[edit]One of the key directions of the foundation's activities is providing support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Voices from Ukraine actively mobilizes resources and collects assistance for military personnel defending the territorial integrity and security of Ukraine. This includes supplying necessary equipment, medical supplies, and humanitarian aid.
From July, the following Ukrainian artists and public figures joined the charitable events of the foundation:
