Vladyslav Hennadiiovych Peleshenko (callsign "Kord"; July 7 1995July 6 2023, Zherebianka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast) was a Ukrainian serviceman, sergeant, reconnaissance operator of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war. Hero of Ukraine (2024, posthumously)[1].

Biography

Vladyslav Peleshenko was born on July 7 1995.

He studied at Krasne Secondary School and Obukhiv Secondary School No. 1. He graduated by correspondence from the National University of Ukraine on Physical Education and Sport[2].

Participant of the Revolution of Dignity. With the beginning of Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine, as part of the National Guard of Ukraine, he carried out combat missions in the zones of ATO/JFO.

During the full-scale Russian invasion, he participated in battles for the Kyiv region. From September 2022, he served as a tactical group commander of the Main Directorate of Intelligence. As a reconnaissance operator, Vladyslav carried out operations in occupied Enerhodar, Snake Island, in the area of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, and in the Okhtyrka direction[3].

He died on July 6, 2023, near Zherebianka village in Zaporizhzhia region.

He was buried on December 2, 2023, in Obukhiv, at the Heroes Alley in Berkovetske Cemetery.

Awards

  • Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Gold Star (May 8, 2024, posthumously) — for personal courage and heroism shown in protecting the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless service to the Ukrainian people;
  • Honorary Citizen of Obukhiv (2024, posthumously)[4][5].
