[edit]

Richards was born on December 29, 1944 in Port of Spain, Trinidad[1] and moved to England with her parents being child. There she began her acting career[2] and also did modelling. She played the role of Barbara in the long-running stage production No Sex Please, We're British for over four years from its opening on 3 June 1971.[3][4][5][6] She also appeared in several TV shows such as Onedin Line and Howards' Way[1] and movies such as Zeta One (1969) and Black Snake (1973).

Richards returned to Trinidad and Tobago in 2004.[1] She worked with the Little Carib Theatre[2] and hosting the home décor television show "Living Your Dreams"[1]

Richards held both British and Trinidadian citizenship.[7]. She had no children and lived alone in North Valsayn. Richards was found dead at her home, with her hands bound, on 6 March 2024.[8] She was 79.[7][8] An autopsy showed cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head and face.[9]
