Uttar Bharatiya Vikas Sena is a Sanatani Hindu political party active in Maharashtra whose founder and national president is Sunil Shukla.[1][2][3] This party fights for the rights of North Indians in Maharashtra.[4]

Controversy

[edit]

There was a lot of controversy after UBVS national president Sunil Shukla wrote a letter to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in Sabarmati jail to contest elections from his party.[5][6] Lawrence Bishnoi is a gangster who is accused of planning the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala and NCP MLA Baba Siddique.[7][8][9][10]

The national president of this party compared Lawrence Bishnoi to revolutionary martyr Bhagat Singh and said that we see Bhagat Singh in you.[11][12]

In November 2024, After Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray extended support to the BJP, the UBVS had put up posters reading 'Uttar Bhartiyon Batoge to Pitoge' in several parts of Mumbai.[13]
