Submission declined on 22 October 2024 by Memer15151 (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Tsal (Betsalel) Kaplun, aka Tsal Kaplun, (c.1840-c.1908) was a Jewish Ukrainian (Kranostav, Khmel'nyska oblast, Ukraine) and descendant of the Nekhama Kaplun (Rybak) family, married to Nekhama Rybak (c.1843-c.1880), whose family, according to 1858 census records, lived in Krasnostav. He left behind nearly 60 grandchildren.[1]
Background
[edit]The name Tsal is borne by his grandchildren, Tsilik Kutman, and Tsunya Kaplun, who perished serving the Red Army, and his great-grandchildren Tsunya/Semyon Kaplun and Tsal Segal, who did not return from the war.[2] Tal Segal, who now lives in Israel, is named after Tsal Segal.[3]
