Tokuichi Shiraki(日语:素木得一/ Shiraki Tokuichi, ),Japanese entomologist,born in Hakodate, Hokkaido. 。After graduating from Sapporo Agricultural School(now Hokkaido University)in 1906 with PhD, Shiraki immediately devoted himself to entomological research and specimen production.。In 1907, he went to Taiwan to work as a technician for Government-General of Taiwan. His expertise quickly earned him a promotion to Minister of Entomology within the same government. At the same time, he not only researched beneficial natural enemies of agricultural insects but also introduced Chinese silk for trial breeding in Taiwan.
