The Nippon Dental University (NDU) is a private university in Japan that was established in 1947. It has two campuses, one in Tokyo and one in Niigata, and is considered one of the oldest and most prestigious dental schools in the country:
History
The school's history began in 1907 when Dr. Ichigoro Nakahara established a private dental school. It was renamed the Nippon School of Dentistry in 1909 and the Nippon Institute of Dentistry in 1919.
Campuses
The main campus in Tokyo is 6,477 square meters and includes a new medical wing. The Niigata campus is accessible by taking the Niigata Kotsu bus from Niigata Station to the Hamaura-cho 1-chome Bus Stop, or by walking ten minutes from Sekiya Station.
Schools and hospitals
The university has two schools of dentistry, three affiliated hospitals, and two junior colleges.
