Ramad Tunis (Born February 22, 2013) is an American rapper, singer and songwriter. Young is recognized for his versatility, the way he mashes other genres with Hip-Hop.

Young started making music in 2018 under his government name before switching it to That Boy Young 2 years later. In early 2020 he released his debut single under the new persona titled “Stay At Home” (referring to COVID-19) It was at this time that he would Start recording his mixtape YoungBoy. He mixtape would finally arrive on June 11, 2021

Later that year, he helped form the clan CTRL. He also started to record his mixtape Danger which released on September 9, 2022. A month before, on August 18, 2022 he released the second single to the project. Creative is the mixed version of the 2020 demo “Youngsters And The Gang”.

Early life

Ramad Jarward Tunis was born on February 22, 2013 in Charlotte, North Carolina He is the first child of Ahmad Tunis who is a record producer from Freetown, Sierra Leone.

2019-2022: Youngboy and Danger

While getting ready for the release of his first mixtape, in December 2019 Young would preview many snippets including “Stay-At-Home” and “Miss You”. Stay At Home was released on May 15, 2020 on YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify and other streaming services. YoungBoy was released on June 11, 2021. On June 15, 2022, Young previewed a song featuring his then 4 year old brother Ziscool. Drippy And Trippy Effect was released on July 15, 2022 after his one year hiatus. This would also be the first song Ziscool would ever make. On august 19, 2022 he released the second single to his album Danger titled “Creative”. 2 weeks later on September 9, 2022 Danger was released.

2023-Present: Make new friends, Hide The Old

On November 24, 2022 Young played a snippet of a song on YouTube Shorts with the caption being “Lost In Time”. He further went into description saying “Next year, I am releasing my best work yet, titled Make New Friends, Hide The Old ”.
