Tchimadem Hadattan Sanady is a tax officer and politician from Niger.[1][2]
Sanady was Minister for Population, Advancement of Women and Child Protection in the Cabinet of Niger in the government of Head of State Salou Djibo.[3]
She was Niger's signatory to the N'Djamena Declaration on Ending Recruitment and Use of Children by Armed Forces and Groups.[4]
In 2018 she became Chief Inspector General for Finance in the Ministry of Finance of Niger.[5]
Early life
[edit]Tchimadem Hadattan Sanady's hometown is Abardak, a small village at the foot of the Bagzane Mountains in the Agadez Region.[6]
Career
[edit]From 1987 to 1990 Sanady worked in the Ministry of Education in the department responsible for managing the budget allocated to the ministry. She then worked in the Department of Accounting of the Ministry of Finance until 1992, where she checked the expenditure of various ministries in advance and subsequently the expenditure of various specialized organizations. In 1992, she moved to the Agadez Region Revenue Department, where she was responsible for spending control and bookkeeping.
From 1994, Sanady did advanced training at the ENA in Niamey, where she received a certificate of qualification as a high-ranking tax officer. From 1998 to 1999 she was entrusted with the centralization of the Finance Ministry's accounting records. From 1999 to 2001 she worked as deputy head of the Agadez Paying Agent. From 2001 to 2003 she worked as a tax collector in the Arlit department, where she was also responsible for the department's disbursements. Sanady worked from 2004 to 2006 as the deputy head of the department for business partners of the Ministry of Finance and as such supervised the financial processes of local authorities. From 2006 to 2010 she worked as the financial controller of the Ministries of Agricultural Development and Livestock. She oversaw the correctness of all pending expenses of the two ministries and belonged to the procurement departments of these ministries and the authorities and projects assigned to them.[7]
Tchimadem Hadattan Sanady became Minister for Population, Advancement of Women and Child Protection in the government of Head of State Salou Djibo on March 1, 2010, to which she belonged until she was replaced on April 21, 2011.[3] As minister in 2010 in N'Djamena, she signed a joint declaration by six African states to end the recruitment and use of child soldiers.[8] After leaving the government, Sanady returned to the financial administration. She became President of the State Unit for the Processing of Financial Information (CENTIF) in 2011.[9] Under her leadership, CENTIF set up a working group for the risk assessment of money laundering and terrorist financing in Niger in 2016.[10] In 2018 she became Chief Inspector General for Finance in the Ministry of Finance.[11]
