Tarlan Lotfizadeh (Persian: طرلان لطفی زاده; b. 24 April 1984) is an Iranian interdisciplinary artist based in London. She is known for integrating her background in solid-state physics with a diverse artistic practice that includes photography, video art, and installation. Her work often explores memory, identity, and untold histories, drawing from scientific and autobiographical perspectives.[1]

[edit]- Bearing Witness to a Missing Testimony (2023) Switzerland
This project examines the idea of stones as silent witnesses to historical events. It combines video installations with 3D-printed sculptures and reflects on historical erasure. The project was exhibited at kunstraumaarau in Aarau Switzerland in 2023[2][3].[4]
- Three-Dimensional Essay on Folding Memories (2022) France
Presented at the Centre International d'Art et du Paysage on Île de Lac de Vassivière, France, this work explores the concepts of memory, trauma, and fragmented identities through installation and video[5].[6]
- blurry grandpa, blurry me (2017) France
ongoing project which started in 2017 in Paris where Lotfizadeh tried to find her grandpa's footsteps in Paris after 70 years.[7]
